American Cancer Society Donor Advised Fund

Help us save lives and celebrate lives by creating a philanthropic legacy through the American Cancer Society Donor Advised Fund (DAF). The American Cancer Society Donor Advised Fund allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to easily support the American Cancer Society or your favorite charities.

What are the main advantages of a donor-advised fund?

  • Simplicity: the donor-advised fund sponsor handles all record-keeping, disbursements, and tax receipts.
  • Flexibility: timing of your tax deduction can be separate from your charitable decision-making.
  • Tax-efficiency: contributions are tax-deductible, and any investment growth in the DAF is tax-free. It is also easy to donate long-term appreciated securities, eliminating capital gains taxes.
  • Family legacy: a DAF is a powerful way to build or continue a tradition of family philanthropy.
  • No transaction fees: once approved, 100% of your recommended grant goes to the American Cancer Society.

We’re fighting all cancers in all ways, on all fronts. Help us lead the fight for a world without cancer. Through gifts to your American Cancer Society Donor Advised Fund we can provide:

  • More free rides to treatment, free lodging near hospitals, and information and education through a live 24/7 cancer helpline
  • More bright minds working to discover new treatments or targeted therapies
  • More voices speaking up for cancer patients, federal research funding, and proven prevention strategies
  • More people surviving cancer, getting the best care possible from diagnosis to survivorship, no matter where they live or what their circumstances
